I’m a huge fan of eBooks. I will opt for a digital copy of a book any time over an analog book. One of the things that drives me nuts, however, is when publishers charge more for an eBook than they do the hardcover or paperback edition!
Why? I understand that publishers need to make money, and that authors deserve to make money regardless of whether or not their work is printed or published in a digital format. But there is something wrong when a publisher charges more for a digital edition of a book than they do the hardcover or paperback.
In this case, the guilty party is the book Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us by Seth Godin and Portfolio Publishers. Shame on you for forcing buyers to purchase paper books rather than fork over another $3.00 for the digital version.
